Sharing Folders Windows XP

Windows XP operating system is certainly still used, even within departments. Let's see how to create a network to share folders between two computers with these operating systems. The only requirement is that the PC must be connected together via LAN or wireless.

The first step is to verify that the computers belong to the same workgroup. We click with the right-click "My Computer / Properties / Computer Name", we click the Change button to change the name of our computer or workgroup.
To share a folder , just click on it with the right mouse button and choose "Sharing and Security." Select "Share this folder on the network." Users currently can only read, open on their computer or copy files to the folder in common. If you also select "Allow network users to change my files", then the amendments will be allowed.
You can now see the folders shared by the connected PC by going to: My Network Places / View workgroup computers / pc_utente.
To share, however, a printermust first be installed and connected to either computer. Then click on Start -> Printers and Faxes. We click the right button on the printer and select Sharing. In the dialog box that will have to click on Share this printer on the network.
To check the printer the other computer, just click on "Add Printer" and follow the automatic installation process. The only difference from the installation of a physical printer is that you must click search network printer instead of a local printer.
Obviously, in order to operate the printer from computer B, if it is installed on computer A, you need your computer to be turned on and placed online.
